Part of knowing when you’re eligible is knowing when your enrollment window opens. This is known as your Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) and is a seven-month window beginning three months before your 65th birthday, the month of your birthday, and three months after. If you were born on the first of the month, the enrollment period begins four months before your 65th birthday and ends two months after your birthday month.&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2>\u003Cbr>\nWho can enroll in Medicare Part C?&nbsp; &nbsp;\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>Medicare Advantage is also known as Medicare Part C. This period is for enrolling in Medicare Advantage or Prescription Drug Plans with coverage that begins January 1 of the following year.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2>What is the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period?\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>You can change your Medicare Advantage plan during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment period (OEP).&nbsp;&nbsp;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The MA OEP runs from January 1 to March 31 each year and is only for people who are already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan. To enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, you must be enrolled in both parts of Original Medicare. Someone who delayed their Part B enrollment is not eligible for a Medicare Advantage Plan.
